Employees
Non-Discrimination Policy for Women
PHSU provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants regardless of sex. We strictly prohibit discrimination based on gender, including pregnancy, childbirth, and pregnancy-related conditions. Our policies align with the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) and the Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA) to ensure fair treatment and accommodations for pregnant individuals.
Maternity and Paternity Support
To support women’s participation in the workforce, PHSU offers maternity and paternity policies designed to promote work-life balance and well-being. We provide:
- A dedicated Mother's Room equipped with a sink, fridge, comfortable chair, and working desk to ensure privacy and comfort for nursing mothers.
- Paid employee maternity leave
- Compliance with federal laws to protect parental rights and prevent pregnancy-related discrimination.
Students
We strive to create a campus culture where all students, regardless of gender, feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. Through mentorship programs, advocacy initiatives, and access to dedicated resources, we ensure that every student has the tools they need to thrive academically and professionally.
