Admissions Process
1. Explore our Programs
Begin by reviewing the academic programs offered at PHSU to find the one that aligns with your career goals. From medicine and nursing to psychology and public health, PHSU provides a range of programs to suit diverse interests.
2. Review Admission Requirements
Each program has specific admissions criteria. Visit the program page or the PHSU Catalog to learn about prerequisites, required documents, and deadlines.
3. Complete Your Application
Submit your application online through the PHSU Admissions Portal. Be prepared to include:
- Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions
- Letters of recommendation
- A personal statement or essay (if required by your program)
- A non-refundable application fee
- Background check or certificate of no penal record
4. Submit Supporting Documents
Upload or send any additional documentation requested by the Admissions Office, such as immunization records, CV/resume, and test scores (MCAT, GRE & TOEFL).
5. Participate in Interviews
Some programs require an admissions interview as part of the selection process. Prepare to discuss your academic background, career aspirations, and suitability for the program.
6. Admissions Decision
Once your application is reviewed, you will receive an official admissions decision. Accepted students will be provided with detailed next steps to complete enrollment.
7. Submit Your Deposit Payment
Once you receive an acceptance letter, secure your spot in the program by submitting the required enrollment deposit; this payment confirms your intention to enroll and allows PHSU to prepare for your arrival.
Financial Aid Process
1. Complete the FAFSA
Start by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at fafsa.gov.
2. Submit Required Documents
Provide all necessary documentation to the Office of Student Financial Aid, including PHSU financial aid forms and tax information or income verification (if requested).
3. Review Your Financial Aid Offer
Once your application is processed, you will receive a financial aid package outlining the assistance available to you, such as federal loans, scholarships,and institutional aid.
4. Accept Your Aid Package
Review and accept the financial aid offer through the PHSU financial aid portal. Ensure that you meet all requirements, such as entrance counseling for loans or additional forms for scholarships.
5. Disbursement of Funds
Financial aid funds are disbursed at least once per semester for semester-based programs and once per trimester for trimester programs.
