Comprehensive Healthcare Services for PHSU Students

At Ponce Health Sciences University–St. Louis Campus, we prioritize student health and well-being. The Student Wellness Center, located on our St. Louis campus, provides essential healthcare services exclusively for currently enrolled students. Please note that our Student Wellness Center is separate from the Counseling Center and distinct from the Ponce Wellness Center, which is open to the community.

Medical & Wellness Services

Our Student Wellness Center offers a range of medical and wellness services designed to support students' health, including:

Evaluation and treatment for common illnesses and acute conditions, along with routine check-ups to prevent future health issues
Comprehensive health assessments focusing on overall well-being, lifestyle, and preventive strategies tailored to student needs
Assistance in managing referrals, specialist appointments, and ongoing medical needs to ensure seamless healthcare support
  • Urine Analysis – Quick diagnostic testing to detect infections, kidney issues, and other urinary tract concerns
  • Rapid Strep Test – A fast throat swab test to determine if a sore throat is caused by streptococcal bacteria
  • Pregnancy Test – A confidential urine test to check for pregnancy with quick results
  • FLU and COVID Testing – Quick nasal swab tests to detect influenza and COVID-19, providing fast and accurate results to help guide treatment and prevent the spread of infection.
A non-invasive test that records the heart’s electrical activity to check for irregularities or heart conditions

All services are available free of charge to currently enrolled students.

Our Collaboration with Mercy

The St. Louis Student Wellness Center operates in collaboration with Mercy, ensuring high-quality healthcare for our students. Our clinic is staffed by experienced medical professionals from Mercy, working closely with PHSU to provide comprehensive and seamless care.
