Doctor of Medicine (MD): A four-year program accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), focusing on clinical and research excellence.

Master of Science in Medical Sciences (MSMS): A one-year preparatory program designed to strengthen students’ academic backgrounds for medical or other health-related professional schools.

Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (PsyD): A five-year program aimed at training students for culturally competent clinical practice.

Applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative and science GPA of 2.7 and a minimum MCAT score of 494. Specific prerequisite courses include Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Applicants must submit transcripts, letters of recommendation, and an application through AMCAS and the PHSU secondary application​.
The MSMS program is designed to be completed in 10 months for in-person and remote students, and approximately 20 months for online, part-time students​.

No, the MSMS program does not require the MCAT, GRE, or any other entrance exam for admission.

The STL PsyD program typically takes 5 years to complete, including 86 credit hours, over 1,000 practicum hours, and 2,000 predoctoral internship hours​.

PHSU's STL PsyD program follows the curriculum of the APA-accredited program in Puerto Rico. The campus is currently in the multi-year process of seeking APA accreditation​.

 

PHSU's PsyD program requires a bachelor’s degree with at least 15 credits in psychology, including courses like General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Statistics. Applicants must submit transcripts, letters of recommendation, and complete an interview process​.
